Artisan Awards 2008
Terms and Conditions
- Entry is open to either individuals aged 18 years or over or companies, partnerships or other organisations who derive all or nearly all of their income from the implementation and continuation of traditional skills/crafts (non-food related).
- All entries must arrive by 30th May 2008
- Each entry should be contained within a box or envelope file, clearly marked on the outside with the category being entered and the name of the entrant.
- Each entry should include a copy of the attached entry form.
- Each entry should include a summary of up to 500 words explaining how the entry meets the category criteria (see information on categories below). In the category of Outstanding support of future artisans the summary must include statements from both the employer and the apprentice (up to 250 words each)
- Supporting materials may be included with each entry. These could include photographs, CD-ROM, marketing materials, testimonials, press cuttings and examples of work, if appropriate.
- All material submitted with entries (including photographs and transparencies) will become the property of the promoter and will not be returned.
- Receipt of entries will not be acknowledged. Entries can be sent by registered post or courier if required.
- An individual or organisation can enter more than one category if appropriate.
- The decision of the judges is final both as to eligibility to enter the competition and the awarding of the prizes. No alternative prizes will be available.
- Winners will be those entrants who in the opinion of the judges best illustrate the use of a traditional skill or craft in their business, and who best meet the category criteria.
- Employees of William Grant & Sons Ltd or its subsidiaries are not permitted to enter.
